Lagoon Plover policies
Returns Policy
Lagoon Plover is an advertising publisher rather than the seller of featured products. This policy explains where to go if you wish to cancel or return an order.
Last updated: 5 October 2026
1. Who handles your return
When you follow a product link, you leave lagoon-plover.com and contract directly with the third-party retailer shown on the checkout page. That retailer accepts payment, confirms your order, dispatches the goods and is responsible for cancellation, return, refund, replacement and warranty requests. Lagoon Plover cannot access your order, issue a returns label or refund a payment.
2. Your UK cancellation rights
For most goods bought online by a UK consumer, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 provide a 14-day cancellation period beginning the day after delivery. After telling the retailer that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back. Exceptions can apply, including personalised, perishable, hygiene-sensitive or sealed goods once unsealed.
The retailer’s own policy may offer additional time or conditions. Check the policy displayed on the retailer’s website at the moment of purchase, as that policy forms part of your transaction.
3. How to request a return
- Locate your order confirmation and the retailer’s contact or returns page.
- Contact the retailer within the applicable return period, quoting your order number and stating whether the item is unwanted, damaged, faulty or incorrect.
- Follow the return instructions and use any label or authorisation provided.
- Pack the item securely with all parts and retain proof of posting until the matter is resolved.
Do not send products to Lagoon Plover’s Rivington Street address. Goods sent there cannot be processed as retailer returns and may not be recoverable.
4. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires goods supplied by a UK trader to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If your item is faulty, damaged in transit, incomplete or materially different from its description, notify the retailer promptly and include clear photographs where useful. Your statutory remedies may include rejection, repair, replacement or a price reduction depending on the circumstances and timing.
5. Return costs and refunds
The retailer determines return methods and any permitted deductions. A consumer may be asked to pay the direct cost of returning an unwanted item if this was disclosed before purchase. The retailer should bear reasonable return costs for faulty or misdescribed goods. Refund timing and the original delivery charge are governed by applicable law and the retailer’s published terms.
6. If you cannot identify the retailer
Check your confirmation email, payment statement and parcel label. If you contact us with the product page you used and the approximate click date, we will make reasonable efforts to identify the destination retailer, but we cannot mediate or guarantee the outcome of a dispute.
